Clinical Study on Blood-Activating and Qi-Boosting Decoction Combined with Western Medicine in the Treatment of Chronic Heart Failure

Objective:To observe the clinical curative effect of Blood-Activating and Qi-Boosting Decoction combined with Western medicine on chronic heart failure.Methods:A total of 72 patients with chronic heart failure were randomly divided into the control group and the observation group,with 36 cases in each group.The control group was treated with conventional Western medicine,while the observation group was treated with self-made Blood-Activating and Qi-Boosting Decoction on the basis of the treatment of the control group.The clinical efficacy,the changes of the TCM syndrome scores,cardiac function indexesleft ventricular ejection fraction(LVEF),stroke volume(SV),left ventricular end systolic diameter(LVESD)and left ventricular end diastolic diameter(LVEDD)],serum myocardial injury markerscardiac troponin I(cTnI)and brain natriuretic peptide(BNP)]before and after treatment were compared between the two groups.Results:The effective rate was 83.33%in the control group and 97.22%in the observation group.There was significant difference between the two groups(P<0.05).The TCM syndrome score,serum BNP and cTnI of the two groups after treatment were lower than those of the same group before treatment,and the above indexes of the observation group were lower than those of the control group after treatment,and all the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).The SV and LVEF of the two groups after treatment were higher than those of the same group before treatment,and the above indexes of the observation group were higher than those of the control group after treatment,and all the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).However,there were no significant differences in LVESD and LVEDD between the two groups before and after treatment(P>0.05).Conclusion:Self-made Blood-Activating and Qi-Boosting Decoction combined with Western medicine on chronic heart failure in the treatment of chronic heart failure can effectively improve cardiac function and myocardial injury.
