A Meta Analysis of Treatment of Chronic Periodontitis with Jade Lady Decoction

Objective:To systematically evaluate the clinical efficacy of Jade Lady Decoction in the treatment of chronic periodontitis.Methods:The databases of VIP,Wanfang,CNKI,Chinese biomedical literature,PubMed,Springer Link and The Cochrane Library,etc.were searched by computer,and the randomized controlled trials of Jade Lady in the treatment of chronic periodontitis were collected.Review Manager 5.3 software was used for Meta analysis of the included data.Results:A total of 11 articles were included,involving 591 patients.The Meta analysis showed that the improvement of the effective rate[WMD=4.36,95%CI(2.51,7.48),P<0.0001],periodontal pocket depth[WMD=-0.74,95%CI(-1.33,-0.14),P=0.01],gingival sulcus bleeding index[WMD=-0.68,95%CI(-0.93,-0.43),P<0.00001]and plaque index[WMD=-0.67,95%CI(-0.84,-0.50)P<0.00001]in the treatment group were better than those in the control group,and all the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusion:Jade Lady Decoction can improve the depth of periodontal pocket,gingival sulcus bleeding and dental plaque in patients with chronic periodontitis.However,the quality of the included articles is low,the number is limited,there is no foreign literature,and the intervention measures are not unified,and there is no unified and complete outcome index.In the future,high-quality and large amount of articles are needed to provide a more reliable basis for Jade Lady Decoction in the treatment of chronic peri-odontitis.
