Clinical characteristics and nursing intervention in patients with urinary system tumors on maintenance hemodialysis

Objective To investigate the clinical characteristics and nursing interventions in patients with urinary system tumors on maintenance hemodialysis. Methods Eighty-two patients with urinary system tumors on maintenance hemodialysis admitted to General Hospital of Northern Theater were selected from February 2019 to February 2021. They were categorized into an observation group and a control group using a random table with 41 patients in each group. The observation group received comprehensive nursing intervention and the control group received conventional nursing intervention. Psychological status,renal function indicators,complication and quality of life were compared between the two groups. Results There was no significant difference in scores of psychological status and quality of life between the two groups(P >0. 05). After nursing,scores of quality of life were higher in the observation group than in the control group and Hamilton depression scale(HAMD) and Hamilton anxiety scale(HAMA) scores were significantly lower in the observation group than in the control group(all P < 0. 05). There was no significant difference in renal function indicators between the two groups(P > 0. 05). After nursing,endogenous creatinine clearance was significantly higher in the observation group than in the control group and serum creatinine and blood urea nitrogen were significantly lower in the observation group in the control group(all P < 0. 05).The incidence of complications was 7. 3% in the observation group which was significantly lower than 24. 4% of the control group(P < 0. 05). Conclusion Comprehensive nursing intervention can effectively adjust physical and mind state,improve quality of life,especially renal function and reduce complications patients with urinary system tumors on maintenance hemodialysis. It is worthy of popularization and application.
