Analysis of the effects of flowable composite liners and high-strength flowable resins on repairing the dental cavities

Objective The aim of this study was to investigate the effect of flowable composite resin liners combined with high-strength flowable resin on repairing the adjacent (occlusal) cavities. Methods From June 2018 to June 2019, 86 patients (a total of 86 affected teeth) of the adjacent (occlusal) cavity repaired in our hospital were selected and divided into two groups according to the random number table method, each with 43 patients. The control group was repaired with sandwich technique, and the observation group was repaired with flowable resin liners combined with high-strength flowable resin. The repair success rate, repair effect and postoperative complications were compared between the two groups. Results The success rate of repair in the observation group at 9 months was higher than that in the control group, and the difference was statistically significant (P<0.05). The integrity of the restoration in the observation group at 9 months was higher than that of the control group, and the difference was statistically significant (P). <0.05); The incidence of postoperative sensitivity in the observation group at 9 months was lower than that in the control group, and the difference was statistically significant (P<0.05). Conclusion The application of flowable resin liners and high-strength flowable resin in the repair of adjacent (occlusal) cavities can significantly improve the success rate and effect of restoration, reduce the incidence of postoperative complications, and it is worth promoting.
