Abstract: | A 16-yr-old man with localized juvenile periodontitis was treated in one single surgical treatment visit. No adjunctive chemotherapy, implant material, or guided tissue regeneration (GTR) was used. Excellent bone repair was seen after 14 wk at the sites of the vertical periodontal lesions. The rapid healing could have been due to the treatment method, the youth of the patient, or the type and form of the bony defects. Radiographic control seems to be indicated 12–14 wk after surgical treatment. |
