横纹肌样脑膜瘤的病理学特征及诊断

目的探讨横纹肌样脑膜瘤的临床病理学特点。方法对1例发生在脑干旁的横纹肌样脑膜瘤结合光镜观察和免疫学标记进行文献复习。结果镜下除有典型脑膜瘤细胞形态结构外,60%为横纹肌样细胞,弥漫成片松散排列或成巢可伴乳头状结构。免疫表型:Vimentin、EMA、S-100阳性,而Desmin等均为阴性。结论本瘤的特征是出现大部分的横纹肌样细胞。在鉴别诊断中,免疫组化有十分重要作用。

Pathological characters and diagnosis of striated muscle-like meningioma

Objective To investigate the clinicopathological characteristics of the striated muscle-like meningioma.Methods A case of striated muscle-like meningioma near brainstem was studied by the optic microscopy and immunohistochemistry and the relevant literature was reviewed.Results In addition to the typical features of meningioma cells under the optic microscope,the cells of which 60 percent were striated muscle-like cells,were pervasively distributed as pieces and loosely arranged as nests,accompanied by papillary structure.Immunohistochemical findings included the tumor cells positive to vimentin,EMA and S-100 and negative to desmin.Conclusion The characteristics of the striated muscle-like meningioma are presence of a lot of striated muscle-like cells in the tissue,so it is very important to use immunohistochemistry for its differential diagnosis.
