中医药现代化国家科技发展战略

2005年9月25日，来自世界卫生组织和亚洲、欧美、中东、非洲等43个国家（地区）的3000多位政府官员、科学家、医药企业高层主管及各界相关人士应邀参加了“第二届中医药现代化国际科技大会”。大会秉承“科技惠济民生”的宗旨，以“中医药与现代科学技术”为主题，交流展示中医药发展的最新成果，共同研讨世界传统医药管理、重大疾病防治等重大问题。本文系科学技术部刘燕华副部长的大会演讲报告。报告阐述了中国政府积极推进中医药现代化和加快发展传统医药的重要举措和发展任务，概括性描述了我国广大科研人员依靠科技进步所开创的崭新局面。全文简明扼要，一览全局，对于中医药现代化科技工作具有很强的指导意义。应各省（市）主管中医药现代化科技工作的读者要求，本刊在此刊载，以飨读者。

Government Scientific Developing Strategy of the Chinese Traditional Medicine

Some 3,000 governmental officials, scientists and pharmaceutical CEOs from 43 countries and regions participated in the International S&T Conference for the Modernization of traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) held in Beijing on September 25, 2005. Under the theme of science and technology for the people's welfare, the conference was focused on the TCM and modern science and technology. It strived to exchange the latest TCM development, promote joint exploration of the world's management of traditional medicines as well as probe curative and preventive methods against lethal diseases plaguing the world today. This article is the text of a report delivered by Chinese Vice Minister of Science and Technology Liu Yanhua at the conference. It expounds the Chinese government's active drive for speeding up the TCM modernization and key administrative steps and development tasks adopted by the Chinese government to speed up the developmental tempo of the traditional pharmacy, including an outlined depiction of the new situation created by Chinese pharmacists and medical workers in reliance on the disciplinary progress. It gives a brief but panoramic review of the whole situation, providing a strong guidance for all S&T workers engaged in the TCM modernization.
