| Abstract: | A time-resolved fluoroimmunoassay (TRFIA) for human HBsAg is described in which antibody coated microtiter strip-wells and Eu3+ chelate-labeled monoclonal antibody are used.These Eu2+ ions bound to the antibody molecules by means of the anhydride of diethylenetriaminepentaacetic acid.The solidphase antibody is immobilized microtiter strip-wells in which serum samples are assayed in a two-step procedure.Precision,sensitivity and clinical studies indicate that the assay is accurate.TRFIA is technically simple,and takes a count time of only Is.In addition,the Eu3+ label is nontoxic,presents no problems of pollution,and has a long shelf life. |
