Abstract: | Superhigh frequency electromagnetic radiation of low intensity produces retrograde amnesia in rats tested for passive avoidance conditioning. Oxiracetam and aniracetam completely prevent the amnestic action of electromagnetic radiation, while nooglutil, piracetam, and centrophenoxine markedly weaken it. It is postulated that pyrrolidone-derived nootropics can be used for the pharmacological correction of disturbances in learning and memory caused by superhigh frequency electromagnetic radiation.
