| Abstract: | The 1980 Survey of Training of Radiotherapists in the United States reveals important and significant facts: the number of institutions offering training has diminished; there has been a drop in the number of residencies offered; more than one-third of these are not filled; the number of young American graduates choosing this specialty has leveled off. The proportion of foreign medical graduates and of females among those receiving training in the United States is higher than average for other specialties. |
