Value of vaginal ultrasound combined with abdominal ultrasound in the diagnosis of ectopic pregnancy

Objective To observe the value of vaginal ultrasound combined with abdominal ultrasound in the diagnosis of ectopic pregnancy.Methods In 60 patients with ectopic pregnancy,all patients underwent abdominal ultrasound followed by vaginal ultrasound.The diagnostic accuracy of vaginal ultrasound,abdominal ultrasound and vaginal ultrasound combined with abdominal ultrasound,and the detection rate of gestational sac with different diameter were compared.Results The diagnostic accuracy 96.67%of vaginal ultrasound combined with abdominal ultrasound was higher than that of vaginal ultrasound(80.00%)and abdominal ultrasound(75.00%),and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).60 cases of ectopic pregnancy were confirmed by surgery,42 cases with diameter>20 mm,18 cases with diameter≤20 mm.The detection rate of vaginal ultrasound combined with abdominal ultrasound for gestational sacs with a diameter>20 mm was 100.00%,which was higher than 90.48%of vaginal ultrasound and 85.71%of abdominal ultrasound,and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).The detection rate of vaginal ultrasound combined with abdominal ultrasound for gestational sacs with a diameter≤20 mm was 88.89%,which was higher than 55.56%of vaginal ultrasound and 50.00%of abdominal ultrasound,and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusion Vaginal ultrasound combined with abdominal ultrasound has a high accuracy rate in the diagnosis of ectopic pregnancy,and the detection rate of different diameters is also high.It can provide a favorable basis for clinical diagnosis and treatment,and facilitate the timely implementation of effective treatment plan.
