Clinical effect analysis of procedure for prolapse and hemorrhoid for severe hemorrhoids

Objective To discuss the clinical efficacy of procedure for prolapse and hemorrhoid(PPH)for severe hemorrhoids.Methods A total of 78 patients with severe hemorrhoids were randomly divided into observation group and control group,with 39 cases in each group.The control group was treated with traditional surgery,and the observation group was treated with procedure for prolapse and hemorrhoid.The therapeutic effects,various surgical indicators,visual analogue scale(VAS)scores before and after surgery,and fecal incontinence severity score(Wexner score)at 3 months after surgery were compared between the two groups.Results The total effective rate 97.44%of the observation group was significantly higher than 79.49%of the control group,and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).The operation time,wound edema subsidence time,wound healing time,and hospitalization time of the observation group were significantly shorter than those of the control group,and the intraoperative blood loss of the observation group was significantly less than that of the control group.All the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).At 3 and 7 d after surgery,the VAS scores of the observation group were(3.42±1.02)and(2.15±0.76)points,which were lower than(4.83±1.09)and(3.74±0.92)points of the control group,and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).3 months after surgery,the Wexner score(2.31±0.57)points of the observation group was significantly lower than(5.70±0.45)points of the control group,and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusion Procedure for prolapse and hemorrhoid has a significant clinical effect in the treatment of severe hemorrhoids,with less trauma,less pain,faster recovery,which has positive clinical significance.
