Clinical efficacy of Tanreqing injection combined with antibiotics in the treatment of elderly patients with pulmonary infection

Objective To study the effect of Tanreqing injection combined with antibiotics in the treatment of elderly patients with pulmonary infection.Methods A total of 100 elderly patients with pulmonary infection were randomly divided into control group and observation group,with 50 cases in each group.The control group was treated with antibiotics,and the observation group was treated with Tanreqing injection and antibiotics.Both groups were compared in terms of fever subsidence time,cough subsidence time and lung moist rale subsidence time,therapeutic effect,and functional independence.Results The fever subsidence time(3.64±0.07)d,cough subsidence time(3.38±0.20)d,and lung moist rales subsidence time(4.37±0.59)d in the observation group were shorter than(5.83±0.39),(5.24±0.52),and(5.90±0.47)d in the control group,and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).The proportion of severe dependence 4.00%in the observation group was lower than 18.00%in the control group,and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).There was no statistically significant difference in the proportions of light dependence and moderate dependence between the two groups(P>0.05).The total effective rate 98.00%in the observation group was higher than 82.00%in the control group,and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusion The application of Tanreqing injection combined with antibiotics in the treatment of elderly patients with pulmonary infection can improve the functional independence of patients,improve the therapeutic effect,shorten the fever subsidence time,cough subsidence time,lung moist rales subsidence time,which can obtain more desirable results and promote their disease recovery,and can be promoted.
