Efficacy of air pressure therapy on prevention of lower extremity deep venous thrombosis after cesarean section in elderly pregnant women

Objective To discuss the clinical efficacy of air pressure therapy on prevention of lower extremity deep venous thrombosis(DVT)after cesarean section in elderly pregnant women.Methods According to the order of admission,1500 women with cesarean section were divided into control group and observation group,with 750 cases in each group.The control group received conventional preventive nursing after operation,and the observation group received air pressure therapy on the basis of the control group after operation.Both groups were compared in terms of recovery of muscle strength of both lower extremities at 1 and 2 h after intervention,incidence of lower extremity pain,swelling,pulmonary embolism,DVT,and satisfaction degree.Results In observation group,the positive rate of recovery of muscle strength to level 4 at 1 h after intervention was 79.60%,and the positive rate of recovery of muscle strength to level 5 at 2 h after intervention was 83.60%,which were higher than 43.73%and 52.80%in the control group,and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).The incidences of lower extremity pain,swelling,pulmonary embolism,and DVT in the observation group were 1.47%,1.60%,1.33%,and 0.27%,which were all lower than 7.73%,7.87%,6.93%,and 1.33%of the control group,and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).The satisfaction rate 98.80%of observation group was higher than 90.93%of control group,and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusion The application of air pressure therapy in elderly pregnant women after cesarean section has a definite effect on the prevention of lower extremity deep venous thrombosis,and also can effectively reduce the incidence of lower extremity pain,swelling and pulmonary embolism.It is simple,safe and reliable,and has no serious side effects,which has high application value.
