Analysis of the effect of multimedia training and traditional occlusion on amblyopia in children

Objective To analyze the effect of multimedia training and traditional occlusion on amblyopia in children. Methods A total of 100 children with amblyopia were randomly divided into traditional group and multimedia group, with 50 cases in each group. Children in the traditional group were treated with traditional occlusion, and children in the multimedia group were treated with multimedia training. The stereo vision and visual acuity level before and after treatment, and therapeutic effect were compared between the two groups.Results The total effective rate of treatment for children in the multimedia group was 94.00%, which was higher than 80.00% in the traditional group, and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05). After treatment, the normal rate of stereo vision in the multimedia group was 90.00%(45/50), which was higher than 74.00%(37/50)in the traditional group, and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05). After treatment, the visual acuity level of the two groups was higher than those of this group before treatment, and the visual acuity level(0.93±0.12)of the multimedia group was higher than(0.84±0.12) of the traditional group. All the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05). Conclusion The effect of multimedia training in children with amblyopia is different from that of traditional occlusion. Multimedia training can better improve the visual acuity of children, and it is worthy of promotion and application.
