Observation on the efficacy of Xixian Tongshuan capsule in the treatment of acute atherosclerotic thrombotic cerebral infarction

Objective To investigate the clinical efficacy of Xixian Tongshuan capsule in the treatment of acute atherosclerotic thrombotic cerebral infarction.Methods A total of 87 patients with acute atherosclerotic thrombotic cerebral infarction were divided into experimental group(46 cases)and control group(41 cases)according to the random numerical table.The control group received conventional treatment,and the experimental group was treated with Xixian Tongshuan capsule on the basis of the control group.The clinical efficacy,National Institutes of Health stroke scale(NIHSS)score and Barthel index(BI)score were compared between the two groups.Results The total effective rate of treatment 89.13%in the experimental group was higher than 70.73%of the control group,and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).After treatment,the NIHSS scores of the two groups were lower than those of this group before treatment,and the BI scores were higher than those of this group before treatment;the NIHSS score(3.59±0.32)points of the experimental group was lower than(5.25±0.56)points of the control group,and the BI score(76.62±5.86)points was higher than(61.82±6.70)points of the control group;all differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusion Xixian Tongshuan capsule has significant clinical efficacy in the treatment of acute atherosclerotic thrombotic cerebral infarction,and it can effectively improve the cerebral nerve function and enhance the quality of life of patients,which is worthy of clinical promotion.
