Abstract:Objective To master basic conditions of the X-ray baggage inspection system, radiation prevention and radiaiton dose exposure at Changle international airport. Methods X, γ-ray radiation inspection instruments are employed to detect radiation dose of X-ray baggage inspection system and carry out analysis and evaluation of radiation prevention conditons and neighbouring radiation dose of various types of X-ray baggage inspection system according to national radiation health standards. Results The maxium measured radiation values of 26 X-ray baggage inspection systems were all less than 5μGy/h and the protection capacity of various X-ray baggage inspection systems were basically similar. There is no statistics significance(p0.05) of inonizing radiation level between instrument surface and circumjacent environment;There is a statistics significance(p0.05) in the difference of the accepted radiation dose levels between working staff and passengers. Conclusion The study shows that prevention capacity of X-ray baggage and goods inspection systems were basically similar at changle international airport, with a radiation dosage conform with National Radiation Sanitation Standard. however, annual radiation dose level measured in working staff was much more higher than that of the exemption values regulated by National Radiation Sanitation Standard. The radiation sanitation and safeguard criterion administration should be strengthened. And the present radiation measurement will provide reliable scientific basis for further radiation monitoring at changle Airport in the future.
