The feasibility and prospect of the big data application in TCM diagnosis

The arrival of the era of big data has a significant impact on biomedical research. Traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) diagnosis is the core and key of TCM theory and clinical research. The auther summarizes the big data and TCM diagnosis, feasibility of the application of big date in TCM diagnosis (the objective study of TCM four diagnostic methods, to investigate the syndrome criteria, the relationship between the syndrome type and the experimental index, and clinical treatment of TCM). It is believed that the quantitative diagnosis of TCM syndromes and the quantification of multivariate statistical methods are the basic elements for the formation of large data. The application of big data is the driving force of objectification and standardization of TCM diagnosis.
