Abstract: | Mucormycosis is an aggressive and life‐threatening opportunistic fungal infection, which predominantly affects immunocompromised patients. It typically manifests in rhinocerebral, pulmonary or disseminated forms in patients with immunosuppressive conditions. Mucormycosis limited to the oral cavity is rare, and to the best of our knowledge only seven cases have previously been reported in English literature. We present five consecutive cases of oral mucormycosis in patients with leukaemia, and provide a literature review. |
