Abstract: | Oligohydramnios and neonatal renal failure is reported in a premature infant whose mother had used enalapril in weeks 32-35 of her pregnancy. The infant recovered adequate renal function after peritoneal dialysis. Review of the literature supports our view that angiotensin-converting enzyme inhibitors should not be used in pregnancy; if they are, both mother and fetus should be monitored with extreme care. |
