| Abstract: | Implanted Vx-2 tumors in rabbit's livers were treated only by chemotherapyof Adriacin(0.5mg/kg/day)through the portal vein system,using implantable druginjection device(Port-A-Cath-System,PACSO).After 5 days of treatment,the tumorvolume proliferation folds of treated group was much smaller than that of thecontrol group(P<0.01)and the depression rate of tumor proliferation was higherthan 42%(54.5%),indicating effectiveness.Neither surgical complications nor liverfunction damage were found.The pathophysiologic basis and importance of clinicapplication of this approach of therapy were also discussed. |
