The change of the radial structure during the thermofixation of poly(ethylene terephthalate), [poly(oxyethyleneoxyterephthaloyl)], fibres with and without shrinkage is studied. The fibre structure is described by interferometric measurements, which allow statements about order and orientation as a function of the fibre radius. The fibre interferograms are interpreted by an analytical model, which has been developed in the first part of this series.
