| Abstract: | Three very low birth weight infants, treated with frusemide for broncho-pulmonary dysplasia are described. They all developed medullary nephrocalcinosis identifiable by real time ultrasound. The sonographic findings of diffuse medullary hyper-echogenicity appears to be specific for nephrocalcinosis. |
