Development of Medical Manpower (Part one)

There are many constructive suggestions on how to manage, employ and develop medical manpower, e. g., medicine is changing and the training of physicians must change; distribution of physicians in relation to practice type and geographic disposition; training programs are researched on edveloping skills and attitudes that result in the delivery of quality care within the reach of economic limitations of urban and rural areas or of various socioeconomic strata; can and should responsibility for certain types of present and future difficult or advanced medical problems be shifted to physicians with less specialized expertise, and if so, who and how to give them needful training; how will training programs be financed. Although each research project is of limited scope, the total discussion embraces most of the ingredients that are considered by hospital directors and managers.
