Effect of estradiol fluctuation in different gestational ages on pregnancy outcome in patients with early threatened abortion

Objective To analyze the effect of estradiol(E2)level fluctuation on pregnancy outcome in patients with early threatened abortion of different gestational age.Methods Using retrospective analysis,250 patients with threatened abortion who were treated in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology,First Affiliated Hospital of PLA Air Force Military Medical University from January 2015 to January 2019,were divided into the successful pregnancy group according to the different pregnancy outcomes(n=125)and the missed abortion group(n=125).The serum E2 levels of the two groups of patients at different gestational ages were detected,and the fluctuation of the serum E2 levels was observed.Results At 7 to 12 weeks of gestation,serum E2 levels in the observation group were(795.21±259.77),(1033.31±396.18),(1249.11±494.68),(1542.64±475.53),(1736.81±473.32)and(1924.12±547.65)pg/mL,respectively.All of them were higher than the control group(383.34±132.26),(458.74±166.40),(516.05±196.85),(605.95±196.75),(526.62±168.02),(282.37±94.38)pg/mL,and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).In the control group,E2 levels rose slowly and decreased at the 10th week of gestation.Conclusion The E2 level of patients with early threatened abortion during different gestational ages can have a direct impact on the outcome of pregnancy.The detection of the serum E2 level of pregnant women is of great value to the outcome of pregnancy loss.
