The value of fall risk management and related intervention measures in elderly population

Objective To study the value of fall risk management and related interventions in the elderly population.Methods Retrospective analysis was made of 50 elderly patients admitted to this hospital from January 2014 to January 2016 as the control group,who were given routine recreation and fitness activities.In addition,50 elderly patients admitted to the hospital from February 2016 to February 2018 were selected as the management group to implement routine recreation and fitness activities combined with fall risk management.The risk of falling,quality of care,satisfaction and quality of life of the two groups were compared before and after intervention.Results Tinetti gait and balance test and MFES score in the management group were higher than those in the control group after intervention(P<0.05).The scores of nursing quality,nursing record writing,nursing knowledge and skills in the management group were higher than those in the control group(P<0.05).The satisfaction of the management group was higher than that of the control group(P<0.05).All life quality scores in the management group were higher than those in the control group(P<0.05).Conclusions Falling risk management and related interventions can significantly improve the ability of the elderly to prevent falling,improve the quality of clinical nursing,and improve patients'satisfaction and quality of life.It is worthy of clinical promotion and application.
