Analysis of the Equity of Traditional Chinese MedicineHealthcare Institutions in 2019

Objective To grasp the status quo and equity of the development of Traditional Chinese Medicine(TCM)institutions,and to provide think tank support for the deepening of reforms of TCM institutions.Methods Based on the basic data of the"China Health Statistics Yearbook 2020",the population and area dimensions of TCM hospitals,TCM outpatient department,TCM clinics,and TCM research institutions in 31 provinces,autonomous regions,and municipalities across the country were drawn and Lenz curve and its Gini coefficient were calcula-ted.Results According to the cumulative percentage of the population,the configuration of TCM hospitals,TCM outpatient departments,and TCM clinics was relatively fair(G<0.4);TCM research institutions(G=0.52744)had exceeded the warning line.According to the cumulative percentage of area,the distribution of TCM hospitals(G=0.35791)was relatively reasonable;the configuration of TCM clinics(G=0.46653)was in a state of alert;TCM cli-nics(G=0.70678),TCM research institutions(G=0.73186)was in a highly unfairly dangerous state.Conclusion In 2019,the equity of TCM institutions in the population dimension is better than that in the geographic dimension.And the TCM institutions are in a dangerous state according to the geographical distribution.The government should further improve the top-level design,take into account economic factors and geographic characteristics,and combine the advantages of TCM to improve the equity and accessibility of the allocation of resources in TCM institutions.
