Effect of Tonifying Liver and Kidney Decoction Combined with Warm Acupuncture in the Treatment of Rheumatoid Arthritis with Liver and Kidney Deficiency Syndrome

Objective To explore the effect of tonifying liver and kidney decoction combined with warm acupuncture in the treatment of rheumatoid arthritis(RA)with liver and kidney deficiency syndrome.Methods 130 RA patients with liver and kidney deficiency syndrome were randomly divided into observation group(tonifying liver and kidney decoction combined with warm acupuncture)and control group(routine western medicine).The clinical efficacy,symptom and sign improvement,and serum indicators were compared between the two groups.Results The total effective rate of the observation group was 96.92%,higher than 80.00%of the control group(P<0.05).The joint pain score,morning stiffness time,joint swelling number and joint tenderness number of the observation group were better than those of the control group(P<0.05).After treatment,the levels of high-sensitivity C-reactive protein(hs-CRP),erythrocyte sedimentation rate(ESR)and rheumatoid factor(RF)in the observation group were lower than those in the control group(P<0.05).Conclusions Tonifying liver and kidney decoction combined with warm acupuncture has ideal effect in the treatment of RA with liver and kidney deficiency syndrome,and can improve patients'symptoms,which may be related to the inhibition of inflammatory factors.
