The application effect of the TCM nursing intervention on the knee osteoarthritis patients with the extracorporeal shock wave acuponit therapy

Objective To explore the application effect of the TCM nursing intervention on the knee osteoarthritis(KOA)patients with the extracorporeal shock wave(ESWT)acuponit therapy.Methods To select 112 KOA patients admitted in the hospital from September 2019 to September 2020 as the study objects.According to the principle of matching basic characteristics between groups,they were equally divided into a control group and an observation group.All the patients were given the ESWT acuponit therapy,besides,routine care was applied on the control group,the TCM nursing intervention was given to the observation group based on the control group,the TCM syndrome score,visual analogue scale(VAS),Japanese orthopaedics association(JOA)score,knee joint pain disappearance time,swelling disappearance time,hospitalization time and the occurrence of complications such as constipation,etc.were compared between two groups before and after the intervention.Results After 2 months of intervention,the TCM syndrome score,VAS score and JOA score of the observation group were lower than the control group,the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05),knee joint pain disappearance time,swelling disappearance time,hospitalization time of the observation group were shorter than the control group,the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05),the incidence of constipation of the control group was lower than the control group,the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusion Applied the TCM nursing intervention on the KOA patients with the ESWT acupoint therapy could improved the TCM syndrome,relieve the pain level and increase JOA score,shorten the pain disapperance time,swelling disappearance time and hospitalized time,decreased the incidence of constipation.
