Approach of ZHANG Zi-ling's Academic Thought

ZHANG Zi-ling was a famous veteran doctor of TCM in Shanxi Province. He was good at determination of treatment based on pathogenesis obtained through differentiation of symptoms and signs in internal medicine, gynecological and surgical diseases, and the curative effects were excellent. He had noble medical ethics and he was law-abiding when he searched knowlegde. His argumentation was just and plain. His medication was mild and clever and his modification was proper. He raised the concept of insisting on basic fomula and thought highly of protecting postnatal splenic yin.
