老年人甲状腺功能亢进症76例临床研究

目的:探讨老年人甲状腺功能亢进症(甲亢)的临床特点.方法:对1994年6月～2003年12月76例住院老年甲亢患者的临床资料进行回顾性分析,并与随机抽取的同期住院80例非老年甲亢患者进行对比研究.结果:老年甲亢患者临床表现不典型,有淡漠、嗜睡等特点;大多表现出消化系统症状;心血管系统以房颤、房性早博和心力衰竭等甲亢性心脏病为主,窦速和突眼症状者较少;贫血、糖代谢异常者则较为多见.结果显示两组均有显著性差异(P＜0.05).结论:老年人甲亢与非老年性甲亢相比具有不同的临床表现,可能是因为老年人的生理机制及组织对化学介质的感受性发生变化所致.

Clinical analysis of 76 cases of senile hyperthyroidism

Objective: To investigate the clinical characteristics of senile hyperthyroidism. Methods: To analyze the clinical data of 76 senile inpatients with hyperthyroidism (from June 1994 to Dec. 2003) and compare the data with those of 80 non-senile inpatients with hyperthyroidism who were chosen at random at the same period. Results: The clinical characteristics of the patients with senile hyperthyroidism were atypical, with such features as indifference, somnolence and so on. Most patients had symptoms in digestive system; atrial fibrillation, atrial premature beat, cardiac failure and hyperthyroidism-related cardiopathy was the main symptoms of the cardiovascular system, with rare sinus tachycardia or exophthalmus while anemia and saccharometabolism could often be seen. The results showed an obvious difference between the two groups(P<0.05). Conclusion: The different clinical symptoms exist between the senile and non-senile hyperthyroidism probably because the physiological mechanism senile patients and their tissues sensibilities to chemical material have changed.
