| Abstract: | We describe a patient who developed Jaccoud's type arthropathy without other prior rheumatic disease. Our patient's hand deformities were first noticed by chance at the age of 15 and gradually progressed over the next 4 years. We believe that after eliminating secondary causes, establishing a diagnosis of primary Jaccoud's arthropathy will prevent misdiagnoses and unnecessary treatment. |
