Study on the correlation between phlegm dampness,blood stasis and damp heat constitutions and hemorheological indexes

Objective To observe the hemorheological indexes of patients with phlegm dampness,blood stasis and damp heat constitutions,and analyze the correlation between them.Methods From 2014 to 2016,outpatients from the department of geriatrics and brain diseases of Shaanxi traditional Chinese medicine hospital and the department of brain diseases of Xi’an hospital of traditional Chinese medicine were selected as the research objects.According to the different constitutions,the outpatients were divided into peaceful constitution group(60 cases),phlegm dampness constitution group(90 cases),blood stasis constitution group(92 cases),damp heat constitution group(90 cases).The whole blood viscosity value 1,5,30,200,plasma viscosity,hematocrit,erythrocyte aggregation index and fibrinogen level of those groups were compared.Results The whole blood viscosity of the damp heat constitution group from low-cut to high-cut 1,5,30,and 200 were the highest in each groups,among them,the difference between the whole blood viscosity 1 of the damp heat constitution group and the peaceful constitution group was statistically significant(P<0.05);the whole blood viscosity 1,5,30,200 of the damp heat constitution group compared with the blood stasis constitution group,the differences were statistically significant significance(P<0.05).There was no statistically significant difference in plasma viscosity,hematocrit,erythrocyte aggregation index and fibrinogen level among the patients of those groups(P>0.05).Conclusion The blood viscosity of patients with damp heat constitution is significantly increased,and blood viscosity-lowering drugs should be used clinically for treatment.
