Clinical effect of Houpo Paiqi mixture in the treatment of gastrointestinal motility disorder in elderly patients after multi-segmental lumbar fusion

Objective To investigate the clinical effect of Houpo Paiqi mixture in the treatment of gastrointestinal motility disorder in elderly patients after multi-segmental lumbar fusion.Methods A total of 162 elderly patients with gastrointestinal motility disorder after multi-segmental lumbar fusion from January 2016 to January 2019 were selected and divided into control group(68 cases)and drug group(94 cases)according to the treatment method.The control group was given conventional symptomatic treatment,and the drug group was given Houpo Paiqi mixture on the basis of the control group.The improvement time of symptoms and signs,adverse reactions,the integral of TCM syndromes and signs,and the comprehensive efficacy index of the two groups were compared.Results After treatment,the remission time of abdominal distension,the recovery time of bowel sounds,the first anal exhaust and the first defecation time of the drug group were shorter than those of the control group(P<0.05).There was no statistically significant difference in the total incidence of adverse reactions between the two groups(P>0.05).After treatment,the score of the TCM syndrome and sign of the two groups was lower than that before treatment,and that of the drug group was lower than the control group(P<0.05).The cure and effective rate and total effective rate of treatment in the drug group were higher than those in the control group(P<0.05).Conclusion Houpu Paiqi mixture in the treatment of gastrointestinal motility disorder after multi-segmental lumbar fusion in the elderly has a good effect,it can significantly improve the symptoms and signs of patients,which has less adverse reactions and is safe and reliable.
