Effects of nonverbal communication mode on emotional state and stress disorder in patients with sudden hearing loss of middle-high frequency and full frequency

Objective To explore the effects of nonverbal communication mode on emotional state and stress disorder in patients with sudden hearing loss(SHL)of middle-high frequency and full frequency.Methods A total of 88 patients with SHL of middle-high frequency and full frequency treated in our hospital from February 2017 to February 2020 were selected as the research objects,and the patients were divided into control group and observation group by random number table method,with 44 cases in each group.The control group received routine nursing intervention,and the observation group received nonverbal communication intervention on the basis of the control group.The emotional state,stress disorder and coping style of the two groups were compared.Results After intervention,HAMD and HAMA scores of the two groups significantly decreased,and those in the observation group were lower than the control group,the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).After intervention,PCL-C scores and total score of the observation group were lower than those before intervention and the control group,the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).After intervention,the negative coping scores of the two groups decreased,and the positive coping scores increased,and those in the observation group were significantly better than the control group,the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusion The nonverbal communication mode applied in patients with SHL of middle-high frequency and full frequency can effectively improve the nursing effect and the emotional state of patients,reduce stress disorder,and create better conditions for patients'hearing improvement.
