Application effect of root cause analysis method in the management of home page of electronic medical records

Objective To explore the application effect of root cause analysis method in the management of home page of electronic medical records.Methods A total of 444 cases of medical records in our hospital before the implementation of root cause analysis method from July to December 2019 were taken as control group,and 444 cases after the implementation of root cause analysis method from January to June 2020 were taken as observation group.The causes of overdue and unarchived medical records in the control group were analyzed,and the unarchived situation,home page error and home page quality score of electronic medical records of the two groups were compared.Results In the control group,the most frequent causes of overdue and unarchived of electronic medical records were delayed archiving of pathological reports,incomplete medical record information timely of the department after patients transferred to the department and delayed archiving of test reports.Among them,68.31%were caused by single reason,30.28%by two reasons,and 1.41%by three or more reasons.The 3 d archiving rate of general electronic medical record,7 d archiving rate of death electronic medical record,quality score of home page of electronic medical record of the observation group were higher than those of the control group,and the incidence of home page error was lower than that of the control group(P<0.05).Conclusion The root cause analysis method in the management of the home page of electronic medical records has a significant role,it can not only shorten the time needed for the archiving of medical records,but also reduce the probability of errors in the home page of electronic medical records,so as to improve the quality of the home page of electronic medical records,which is worthy of widespread promotion in clinic.
