Application of 3D printing guiding plate in the treatment of zygomatic fracture

Abstract:Objective To investigate the application value of 3D printing guide plate in the surgical treatment of zygomatic fracture.Methods A retrospective study was performed on 10 cases of patients with zygomatic fracture who were admitted from May 2018 to August 2019.By preoperative CT scanning,obtain medical digital image communication data,Mimics 10.01 software and Geomagic Studio 2013 software were imported for 3D reconstruction,and virtual design reset guide,through 3D printing head model and the real operation guide,and according to the model reconstruction of bending plate,to assist the operation guide fracture reduction and fixation.One week after the operation,the patients were examined by CT,and the CT reexamination results were introduced into the auxiliary design software,which was matched and integrated with the preoperative simulation design data,and the difference between the preoperative design data and the actual postoperative location was evaluated and analyzed.Results Compared with the preoperative design,there was no statistically significant difference in the abruptness,width and height distance of the postoperative key landmarks(P>0.05).The 10 patients were successfully completed surgery,postoperative incisionⅠhealing,no infection occurred.At the last follow-up,the middle part of both sides of all patients was basically symmetrical,with normal opening degree and good occlusal relationship.Conclusion 3D printing guide plate assisted zygomatic fracture surgery can significantly improve the accuracy of reduction of the broken end of the fracture.
