| Abstract: | Objective To investigate the causes and treatment of bleeding after transurethral resection of the prostate(TURP) for benign prostatic hyperplasia(BPH).Methods 400 patients with BPH were operated by TURP in our hospital from 1998 to 2005. Postoperative bleeding occurred in 15 patients, the causes and treatment of bleeding were analysed.Results Bleeding stopped after symptomatic management in all 15patients.Conclusion TURP is a safe treatment for BPH. |
