Study of corelation between eustachian tube functions and result of myringoplasty

In the present study of 34 cases of dry central perforations, 26 cases of adhesive otitis media and 2 cases of adhesive otitis media with postero superior inpouching, the eustachian tube function was assessed pre-operatively in a qualitative & quantitative manner to evaluate there dependability in predicting the outcome of Myringoplasty. Amongst other tests valsalva & forced response tests gave the most reliable results.
