Influence of Family Psychological Intervention on the First Onset Schizophrenic Patients.

Objective To investigate the effect of family psychological intervention on the social function and quality of life in the first onset schizophrenia patients.Methods A total of 100 patients with first episode schizophrenia were randomly divided into intervention group（n=50） and drug group（n=50）.Both the groups received anti-psychotics treatment,but the intervention group simultaneously received family psychological intervention in the whole process for 1 year.All the subjects were evaluated with brief psychiatric rating scale（BPRS）,Social disability screening schedule（SDSS） before and after treatments.Results There were no significant differences in the scores of all scales between two groups before treatment（P〈0.05）.After 1 year,the family psychological intervention therapy had obviously lower scores in BPRS and score of insight（P〈0.01）.Conclusion The family psychological intervention therapy have importment function to improvete carative effect and the social function and to effectively prevent the relapse of schizophrenia.
