Abstract:Monoclonal hybridoma cell lines secreting antibodies directed against human myoglobin were selected. Two of these cell lines were grown in mouse ascitic fluid resulting in the production of large quantities of antibody. Antimyoglobin antibodies isolated from the ascitic fluids were employed in the development of the sensitive solid-phase, bideterminant radioimmunoassay for human myoglobin that uniquely recognizes two different epitopes on the same molecule.
