| Abstract: | The analgesic effect of 4-aminopyridine (pymadine) was studied in experiments on rats and mice at thermal and chemical pain stimulation. Pymadine (1, 3 and 5 mg/kg) exerted the analgesic effect when administered alone and concomitantly with analgin and morphine at chemical pain stimulation. During thermal pain stimulation pymadine had the analgesic effect only at dosage of 5 mg/kg and potentiated the action of morphine given in doses of 3 and 5 mg/kg. The same doses of pymadine failed to influence changes in pain reaction induced by analgin at thermic pain stimulation. |
