Effect of doulas associated with epidural anesthesia during delivery on mothers and infants

Objective:To investigate the effect of doulas associated w ith epidural anesthesia during delivery on mothers and infants. Methods:According to the principle of voluntariness and randomness,we distributed the p regnant wo men into three groups:experimental group A,experimental group B and the contro l group.Both the experimental groups had 80 cases,and the control group had 20 0 cases.Conduct doulas associated with epidural anesthesia for group A,epidural anesthesia for group B and doulas for the control group du ring delivery.Compare the effect of abirritation,the time of labor,the cesare an rate and the fetal asphyxia rate of the three groups. Results:The effect of abirritation,the time of labor,the cesarean rate and the fetal asphyxia rate w ere significantly different between the experiment groups and control group,res p ectively.There was no significant difference between group A and group B for t he effect(P<0.05).The difference of fetal asphyxia r ate were not significant among three groups (P>0.05). Conclusion:Doulas associated with epidural anesthesia durin g delivery has a satisfactory effect of abirritation.It can shorten the labor, lower the cesarean rate and has no bad effect either on mothers or infants.It i s safer,painless and should be promoted.
