Abstract: | Plasma levels and elimination half-life of tulobuterol, a new beta-adrenergic agonist, were determined in ten healthy male volunteers after repeated dosing with 2 mg, twice daily, for seven days. Peak plasma levels attained (2.8 +/- 0.8 ng/ml), the time to peak plasma concentration (1.0 +/- 0.3 hr) and the elimination half-life (2.4 +/- 0.4 hr) were generally unchanged from the first to the final study dose. This suggests that tulobuterol does not accumulate in plasma after repeated administration of a dose regimen known to be clinically effective. |
