论“通阳不在温 而在利小便”

"通阳不在温,而在利小便",是治疗湿温病的一大原则。湿邪为湿温病之主导。"通阳"即宣通阳气,用于湿阻气机,阳郁不伸之证。"不在温"指不是温补之法,而是温通之意。"利小便",非甘淡利湿,而是治疗目的。为使小便通利,需宣畅气机化湿,宣畅气机的过程中脏腑的气化功能得以恢复,脏腑功能得到强化。湿温病有病位、脏腑之别,治疗上通过宣降肺气、运代中州、宣上渗下、行气通腑,恢复肺、脾胃、大肠、膀胱气化功能,强化诸脏腑功能。

Activating Yang without warming but by promoting urination,is a major principle in treating damp-warm disease.Pathogenic dampness is the dominant factor of damp-warm disease.The meaning of activating yang is dredging yang,which is for treating the syndromes of damp obstruction of qi activity and interior stagnation of yang-qi.Without warming does not refer to the method of warming and reinforcing,but warming and dredging.Promoting urination is a therapeutic purpose instead of eliminating dampness with herbs of bland and sweet taste.In order to promoting urination,we need dredging functional activity of qi and resolving dampness.In the process of dredging functional activity of qi,the function of Zang and Fu organs recover,the restoration of Zang and Fu organs are strengthened.There are differences between locations and organs,the treatments of damp-warm disease include dispersing and descending pulmonary qi,regulating middle energizer,dredging the upper and lower,activating qi to dredge intestines,the purpose is to recover the activity of lung,spleen and stomach,colon,bladder;strengthen the function of Zang and Fu organs.
