| Abstract: | By using studies at home and abroad, long -term nursing care needs in a part of old persons and the proposed solutions are discussed, e. g. , a wide spectrum of specific problem - related care, age - and disease - specific services; joint planning and consideration of how better to link hospital - based home care service with community - based services, including formal and informal noninstitutional care, free or paid, or fee - for - service contracts; initiative and creativity in developing and coordinating other potentially beneficial types of home care services; assessment and promotion of general physicians' expertises in improving the old persons' self - assistance, living skills and functions as well as in guiding the home care assistants teams. |
