Clinical Study of Decoction for Removing Cancer and Toxin in the Treatment of Advanced Cancer Cachexia

Objective:To observe the effect of Decoction for Removing Cancer and Toxin on the quality of life of patients with advanced cancer cachexia.Methods:A total of 61 patients with advanced cancer cachexia were randomly divided into the treatment group with 31 cases and the control group with 30 cases.The control group was given supportive treatment and symptomatic treatment,while the treatment group was additionally given Decoction for Removing Cancer and Toxin on the basis of the control group.Karnofsky(KPS)score,clinical symptom score,hemoglobin and albumin levels were compared between the two groups before and after the treatment.Results:KPS score of the two groups after the treatment was higher than that of the same group before the treatment,and the KPS score of the treatment group was higher than that of the control group,the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).The clinical symptom score of the two groups after treatment was lower than that of the same group before treatment,and the clinical symptom score of the treatment group was lower than that of the control group,and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).Hemoglobin and albumin levels of the two groups after treatment were higher than those of the same group before the treatment,and the above two levels of the treatment group were higher than those of the control group,and all the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusion:In terms of advanced cancer cachexia,Decoction for Removing Cancer and Toxin can significantly reduce the clinical symptoms and improve the quality of life of the patients.
