Association between PD-L1 Expression and Progression of Pancreatic Cancer:A MetaAnalysis

Objective To study the relation between the expression of high PD-L1 and prognosis and clinicopathological features of patients with pancreatic cancer cell carcinoma.Methods Electronic databases,such as PubMed,Embase,Medline,CNKI,CJFD and Cochrane library,were searched to identify studies evaluating PD-L1 expression and overall survival(OS)in these patients.RevMan 5.3 software was used for meta-analtsis.Results 16 studies that involved 2085 patients were analyzed.The results showed that the PD-L1 protein's high expression was leading to a poor overall survival rate(hazard ratio,HR=1.61,95%CI=1.37~1.89,P<0.00001).But it was not related to gender,diabetes,tumor growth site and distant metastasis(M-vs M+).However,a high expression of PD-L1 was significantly correlated to the low differentiation,tumor infiltration depth,neural invasion,lymph node metastasis and smoking.Conclusion A high level of PD-L1 protein expression might be a risk prognostic factor for patients with pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma.PD-L1 positive expression is more common in patients with low differentiation,positive tumor invasion,lymphatic invasion positive,smoking pancreatic cancer.
