An Analysis of Medication Rules of Chinese Medicinals in the Treatment of Herpes Simplex Keratitis

Objective:To analyze the medication rules of Chinese medicinals in the treatment of herpes simplex keratitis(HSK) and the related efficacy.Methods:The related articles of Chinese medicinals in the treatment of HSK in CNKI,Wanfang medical database and VIP information in recent 10 years were searched by computer and manually screened.The commonly used Chinese medicinals in clinical practice were sorted out,and the medication rules were analyzed by statistical method.Results:A number of 133 of Chinese medicinals in 152 formulas,involving 19 kinds and 1721 times of drug use,were collected.The most frequently used medicinals were Jinyinhua(Flos Lonicerae Japonicae),Chantui(Periostracum Cicadae),Gancao(Radix Glycyrrhizae),Huangqin(Radix Scutellariae),Fangfeng(Radix Saposhnikoviae),Chaihu(Radix Bupleuri),Jingjie(Herba Schizonepetae),Lianqiao(Fructus Forsythiae),Juhua(Flos Chrysanthemi),etc.The most frequently used Chinese medicinal was heat-clearing medicinal,accounting for 28.57%,followed by tonifying medicinal,exterior-releasing medicinal,damp-draining medicinal,blood-activating and stasis-resolving medicinal.Cold and warm ones were the main medicals,with a cumulative frequency of 75.94%,of which cold was the most,with a cumulative frequency of 46.62%.Five flavors were mainly bitter,sweet and pungent,with a cumulative frequency of 84.98%,of which bitter was the most,accounting for 31.46%.The liver,lung and stomach meridians were the most common ones,with a cumulative frequency of 53.75%,and the liver meridian was the main channel,accounting for 21.02%.Conclusion:The main single Chinese medicinal for HSK include Jinyinhua,Chantui,Gancao,Huangqin,Fangfeng,Chaihu,Jingjie,and Lianqiao.Classified by efficacy,heat-clearing medicinal,tonifying medicinal,exterior-releasing medicinal,damp-draining medicinal;blood-activating and stasis-resolving medicinal are mainly used.The main medicals are cold,warm,bitter,sweet and pungent,and the main meridians are the liver and lung.
