Protective effect of Wen-Pi-Tang against apoptosis of cultured renal epithelial cells |

| Abstract: | In terms of the rate of DNA fragmentation and electrophoresis patterns, we demonstrated that apoptosis was induced in LLC-PK1 cells subjected to the Fenton reaction with H2O2 and Fe2+. In addition, Wen-Pi-Tang, which is known to inhibit the progression of renal failure in both an experimental and a clinical setting, was found to suppress this apoptosis. © 1998 John Wiley & Sons, Ltd. |
